An intimate wedding at Another Place Ullswater

Tiny is sometimes tremendous, and this wedding was just that. Natasha and David declared their love for each other with just their two sons and the family dog making up the wedding party.

When I arrived they were all still wet from swimming in the lake, which is just fantastically (and literally!)  chilled on your wedding morning don’t you think?! It was a bit of a blustery autumn day but they were more than happy to brave the elements in the name of photographs. Everyone was relaxed and at ease against the backdrop of Ullswater - one of the many benefits of Another Place is the fact it's gardens lead right down to the lake side. This is one of the first few weddings hosted there since their complete refurbishment. Another Place is totally gorgeous. Some adamant fans of what was formerly The Rampsbeck seem to be a bit sad about the changes, but old buildings need to be cared for and updated and personally I think they've done a wonderful job. It's airy, fresh and bright but still retains heaps of character and the interior design is classic yet quirky. There's a great mix of formal and informal, even having two separate restaurants that reflect this, so you can pitch up in your walking boots with a wet dog, or enjoy glamming it up in heels and a cocktail dress and not feel out of place either way. Add to this a staff team who couldn't have been more helpful and you're on to a winner!

It was lovely to be a part of an intimate wedding that was so focused on this family foursome (plus dog!), a really special day that their two boys can look back on and be glad they were a part of.
