Oh WOW. I loved this wedding. Fantastic new venue at the Gilpin Lake House, I've shot there before, but not for a wedding. It's just stunning. Secluded, stylish, relaxed...like you've just turned up at the house you always imagined you were important enough to own, and it just so happened that as an added bonus you have a whole team of staff on hand for the day, who couldn't be happier to look after you and serve you the most exquisite food and drinks ever, in the nicest possible way. Then you wander outside and it turns out you have your own lake - a really quite big one, with swans and ducks and lovely vintage boats. Oh, and you can't quite make it back up to the main house after all that fresh air, but it's ok, because there's a perfect little boathouse snug on the way, with Anglepoise lamps and every texture you could need. And when you do finally make it back, there's Renato with his big smile and a perfect G&T. Yep, it's THAT good.
