I'd be lying if I didn't say I wasn't just slightly gripped about shooting Emily and Dom's Bonfire Night wedding. I'm just a little bit scared of the dark. With a ceremony booked in for 3pm and nightfall very shortly after, we were only going to have a tiny window within which to capture as much as we could of the amazing setting at Silverholme Manor, Graythwaite.
We were blessed with a beautiful early winter's day, and with some speedy work we managed to fit in everything we had hoped for. It was actually almost a relief when darkness fell, and I could catch my breath and start to set up my lights in the tipi ready to shoot in an entirely different way.
This is the second Hallowe'en themed wedding I've shot, and whilst it might seem like an unusual choice to some, it's actually brilliant, and so much fun! Emily and Dom had set the scene perfectly and it was super cosy under the Tentipi canvas. The speeches were amazing, the food fantastic, and then to provide the perfect happy ending was star of the show DJ Gary Mills, complete with dry ice, spooky lights and spiderman laser hands - he's a legend!
