I was lucky to be contacted by Clare and Paul very early on in their wedding planning process - it meant I had the luxury of sharing my thoughts on the best venues and suppliers, and helping them to shape up their big day. I was so happy that they chose Askham Hall, one of my all time favourites :)
Their ceremony took place at St.Peters, a stunningly simple church, just a short stroll through the Hall's pretty gardens and the secret gate. Once signed and sealed we had confetti on the bridge, wandered back up through the gardens, drinks outside the main house, then back in by the worlds-most-impressive-roaring-fires once the weather decided to remind us that it was still only early spring. Next up it was over to the glorious party barn...cue more scenic strolling through ancient stone archways and apple tree alley ways. The barn is huge yet cosy, stylish yet neutral, and has the advantage of a kooky cafe space in the shuppen below, so you can enjoy your coffee and fudge by the woodburner snuggled amongst the crooked beams and cosy sheepskins. I like this place, can you tell?!
Evening guests were treated to a sparkler reception, and amazing tunes pumped out by Vibetown (and my kids were super impressed that Laura was on The Voice a few years back!) Another perfect wedding at Askham - well done everyone, and congratulations to one of the loveliest, most considerate couples ever!
